We are going on a cruise in 2 weeks with Royal Caribbean..There is a possibility that we will need to transfer a ticket into someone else's name.. Does anyone know the time limit in order to do that or can it even be done this close to the cruise?

  1. You should call Royal Caribbean to get the exact time frame.  It used to be up to a week in advance, but that was before all the new security rule changes.  I believe the cost used to be a $50 transfer fee as well.

  2. You need to give them at least 72 hours notice.  There will be a small fee involved.

  3. If you are doing a complete name change as in both people that were originally going to go cannot go anymore and two new people are going then the answer is no you can't.  You are under penalty at this time.  They probably sent you the documents already.  If you made this through a travel agent or online contact them have them speak to a supervisor.  If you did this directly through the cruise line then ask to speak to a supervisor and they might let you as a good will gesture but they have all rights to charge you the penalty which at this time will be 50% of your cruise fare.  I work there,  that's why I know.

  4. i would call royal caribbean and talk to a supervisor.

they can help you with your specific situation.

  5. Sorry, you cannot do that.  It is similar to an airline ticket and they are not transferrable.
