Transferring title in missouri?

I have Illinois insurance. My parents are giving me a car in Missouri. it has missouri tags and everything is up to date. They are giving me a car as a gift. Will I be able to have the car transferred in my name in Missouri and show them proof of insurance in illinois and still be able to leave with the car?

No.  You're going to ask your parents to borrow the tags and insurance, and take the title they sign over to you, to IL.  Then you add the car to your IL policy, and brin gthe signed over MO title to your dmv, and transfer it there in IL.
