hi

i arrive in geneva airport at around 9:30 pm on a sunday (next sunday!) and i cannot find anything which tells me how to get from the airport to the resort (courcheval 1850)...well at least not anything that tells me how to get there cheaply!

what i have found o far it a lot of mini cab /mini bus services but they are costing over 100 euro - i was thinking of more a 20 euro coach. but are they available or is it all private hire? and if they are available, what's the company and do tey have coaches after 9:30 on a sunday night....?

please don't give me links to mini bus services (unless they are cheaper than 50 euro - i can find loads of these, just not the public buses (which i want!)

  1. There is a ski bus.

Your timetable is in section "8" of this document.

Servette is correct - no buses after 8pm... The first one on a Monday (the times labelled with a "1") is 11.45am the following day from Gare Routière in the city. It arrives at 15.15.

So it looks like you need to find a hotel for Sunday night....

The tickets are 70CHF for a one-way ticket or 118CHF return. I know this sounds high - but is very reasonable for Switzerland! But on top of the cost of a hotel for Sunday it could be an expensive transfer....

    Good Luck.

  2. there are buses going to Courchevel, but not at 9:30 PM.

You better go to a hotel for the night and go to the "Gare Routiere" (international and tours buses station) about 5 min walk from the train station.

Last bus to Courchevel from the airport is at 8:00PM

below the links for the buses:

tickets are one way: CHF 110.00

    round trip: CHF 186.00

  3. The city has setup fairly informative websites concerning public transportation.

Trains are a 5 minute walk from the doors you'll walk out of at the airport. All trains from there stop in Geneva (Cornavin). If you need assistance once you get there just stop by the information desks in the train station. Hope that helps.
