  1. Huh? Explain it a little better.

  2. If you are buying surface mount transistors, they come in a reel, like a movie.

If you are in a production environment, you'll probably want to order a full reel of tape.  Each transistor manufacturer / model might ship a different number per reel.  Check their datasheets before ordering - could be 1000 or 3000 or ...

If you are doing prototype work, you might be able to order 'cut tape' or bulk.  The distributor, like digikey.ca, will cut 10 or 25 units from a reel, and sell you 10 or 25 if you like.

  3. Amount varies by manufacturer. You should look on the datasheet for your exact part and manufacturer. For a rough idea, just google "TO-92 Reel"

    Results are:

    Fairchild: 2000

    National: 1800

  4. Individual taped transistors come in many sizes.  The most common is an SOT-23 package.  They contain 1 transistor, each.

Other packages that could contain multiple individual transistors:

    SOIC

    TSSOP

    .

  5. Good ???

  6. If you're asking about 'tape and reel' packaging from the manufacturer, the number of transistors contained on a reel depends on the size of the device package.  If it's something like a tiny SOT-23 package there may be as many as 5,000 per reel.  If it's a larger device (maybe a power transistor in a SOT-428 package) there may only be 1500 or so on a reel.
