Transitional glasses no longer changing?

I have a pair of transitional glasses that are about 5yrs old. They no longer change colour in the sun. Is this normal??

My daughter's latest pair of glasses has this feature and she has been very disappointed in it. Even when she is out in the bright sunlight, her glasses don't get dark enough to her liking. They just get slightly darker than they are when she is indoors.

Yes.  This is normal.  The transition lenses that are available today are superior to the transitiion lenses of 5 years ago so I think you will be much happier with a new pair.

they can be worn out. get new ones.
