Question:

Transitional housing and pets...

My family and I have to move out of our house in the next couple of days. My mom doesn't have enough to rent even a really cheap apartment, so we're going to have to go into this transitional housing thing. I'm almost completely certain that we're not going to be able to bring our pets (1 adult cat, 2 kittens), but we really, really don't want to give them up. Is there anything we can do? :(

  1. First of all, don't panic. It may be that you can take them with you, so try not to worry.

If you can't take them, then the best thing you can do is either give them to a friend or family member until you've sorted yourselves out, or give them away to a shelter. I know it's not what you want to do, I would be devastated if I had to give up my cat, but at least they will be happy and cared for. They would go to great homes where they would be cared for their entire lives.

I'm so sorry for the predicament you find yourselves in and hope that you find a resolution. Melissa x
