Question:

Transitions lenses?

I have slight short sightedness and my eyes are very sensitive to light. I was recommended transitions lenses from a person who is long sighted and also has sensitive sight. I do not need glasses for my short sightedness (yet) but I do think that I could benefit greatly from Transitions Lenses. My question is:

Can you but Transitions Lenses for normal vision i.e. no impairment?

  1. Why not use regular sunglasses?!

  2. Transition lenses also don't work well in the car, so regular sunglasses will be better for that.

  3. Of course they can! But consider this,

    1) Transition lenses generally cost more than a pair of convectional spectacles/ sunglasses

    2) If you really like to have a pair of transition, you should consider correcting the slight short-sightedness too! It will cost you the same amount of money anyway.

    Hope this helps

  4. Yes, you can. Just ask your eye care professional and they can fix you right up.

  5. I agree with Daniel!  Just use sunglasses! The reason your friend is using transitional lenses is because he/she needs a prescription and protection from sun when outdoors. Do you just want clear lenses without a prescription to walk around in when you are in the house?
