What does alumina mean and how would I say I am a trickster that doesn't know solitude in Japanese? Thanks. I would look it up but I don't have a translator that tells you the word in romanjii.

  1. Hello there!

I gather you are wanting this from the song from Deathnote. Am i right? If that's the case, the exact translation from Deathnote is:

Kodoku mo shiranu trickster /孤独も知らぬtrickster - I am a trickster who doesn't know solitude

Not that in Japanese, they did not have a word for trickster so in this song, the word trickster is simply borrowed!

The word "alumina" is actually a borrowed word from English. They use the English word "alumina" as the title of the song. It is not a Japanese word. The word "alumina" is actually a white chemical compund that occurs in bauxite and it is found in sapphires.

    Hope this helps,

    Beau
