Let box(i) and box(ii) are two electrical power transmission lines for which, the generalised circuit constants are (A1, B1, C1, D1) and (A2, B2, C2, D2) respectively.

Now if the two transmission line boxes are connected (i) in series and (ii) in parallel. If the overall sending end voltage and current of the coupled system(s) are V(s) and I(s) and the overall receiving end voltage and current of the system are V(r) and I(r), derive the the equations of V(s), I(s), V(r) and I(r) in terms of A1, B1, C1, D1, A2, B2, C2 and D2.

Note : A = V(s)/V(r); C = I(s)/V(r); B = V(s)/I(r); D = I(s)/I(r); AD - BC = 1; A=D.

Please write an answer in as detail as possible. Thanks a lot.
