On the 3/4 and 1 ton cummins... how well do the automatic transmissions hold up under heavy tow conditions, including multiple uphill pulls and common field/farm work?

  1. We have 2 04.5 & 05 4x4 Auto 3500 SWB 1 pulls a 12,000 lb car hauler> With a 100 hp mod> Have no issues at all 16 hauling 19 Hwy> Make sure you get the 04.5 not the 04> Big difference>  look at the valve cover the label if says 600 series> That the 1> as it has 325hp And a 4" exhaust> the 04 has 305 hp and 3.5" exhaust > To drive them there is a big difference>

  2. the transmissions hold up pretty well in those we pull a one car , car hauler with it always loaded and it never does give any problems,so far the transmissions aren't giving very many problems at all,we use this one for everything, from pulling a hay wagon loaded down to pulling a car hauler and it never causes any problems, good luck.
