  1. it should be warmed up drive 5 miles then check in park

  2. you check all of them when their hot at idling speed in park, what ever it reads willl be the amount it has in it ,if its low add some to it dont drive it when its low on fluid,it will damage it,good luck.

  3. depends what kind of car it is. hondas are checked with engine warmed up but turned off. most cars and trucks are checked engine running and warm. need more specifics on make and year for accurate answer

  4. automatic transmission is checked with it running if the fluid is warm to the touch it should be near the top of the mark on the stick

  5. shame on you dodge man! you check dodge trucks when hot idling in Neutral and not always jason because a lot of fords use a wire with a plastic tip (no instructions)  some Mercedes, Jaguar, and Jeep models have a cable with a thin metal strip on the end and still some others don't come from the factory with a dipstick although they have the tube for it and then you have the GM 4L30-E and the Ford 5R55W (and other Fords light duty) that dont have a dipstick tube at all. they have fill plugs underneath and then you have.......ah forget it! LOL
