Transmission of a nobility's title?

A friend's father is dead once year ago. He was noble by his ancestors, being Count and Knight (dating back 1815---Holland). They are 6 children in that family. By the succession, what happen to this title ? Who can inherit this title? Which one of the family can bear it ? Thanks.

It is possible the title was abolished-your friend should look into that. If not, it would typically pass to the eldest son.

The tile can only be pass down the family line. The eldest son would inhert the title. First son born is the heir to the title

Nobility is a government-privileged title which may be either hereditary or for a lifetime. Hereditary titles are positions or styles that are hereditary and thus tend or are bound to remain in particular families.

Some hereditary titles are inherited only by the eldest son, others may pass to the eldest child of either gender, or to all children of a family equally (although this is rare), or can be shared and thus multiplied in the case of a title.

In the Dutch aristocracy, titles are passed to the eldest living male son.  Therefore, whichever is the oldest son in the family would inherit any titles.
