Transmuted Grade--Does anyone know how to compute 12/24 to have a percentage of 75%?

In our school, we want half of the scores to be our passing score. Like if the student got a score of 12/24, that will be 75%. Other example, if the student got 40/79 that will be 75% too. Thanks. I need the answer ASAP

i don't get it, i get 12/24 = 50%

in other words, getting 12 right out of 24 is exactly half, or 50%

almost the same with 40/79 is a little over 50%, closer to 51%.
