Transport For London pre-employment medical?

Hi, I have been offered a job as platform staff for London Underground and have a medical scheduled in a few weeks. Can anyone tell me what this involves? I have only had one pre-employment exam before for an office job and that was weight, height & blood pressure. Does the TFL medical involve anything else? Will i have to undress at all?

  1. As a safety critical job you will be required to undergo a full medical which may include ECG scans in addition to the blood pressure etc.

I wouldn't have thought you would have to undress fully but you will have to provide a urine specimen as you will be drink and drug tested which, of course, is the most important thing to pass as I believe your BMI can be upto 30-ish and still be acceptable!!
