Transport Security Officer at airports?

Does anyone know what a transport secuity officer does? How much do they get paid? Whats the job like? What are their duties on the job and what kind of training do they get? Do u have to be good at math or anything, or handle weapon?

you mean a transportation security admin. officer?? the website is www.tsa.gov and no they dont carry guns or math.

They are considered part time employees. They work variable shifts, split shifts, and bad hours for relatively little pay. And people wonder why they're always so dower looking?

Others are right. No weapons. The test is relatively straight forward. Some simple english grammar and spelling and looking at  a whole bunch of x-ray pics. You must also have a very high boredom threshold.
