Transport from Zakynthos (Zante) to Athens?

Question

Going on holiday to Zante. Would I be able to get to Athens from there? If so, how?

Well,i'm from Greece and for all i know you can either catch an airoplane from the island's central airport (there are quite a few flights to Athens on daily basis) which will aprox take 45 min, or if you don't mind the time and effort you can go with a ship to Killini located north west of Pelloponisos and from there with a car or a bus you can go to Athens. The trip is 286 km and will aprox take 5 hours. I suggest the first way!!!

I would go for the bus and the ferry..its a wonderful journey!
