Transport route from Detroit to Maine?

Is there a railway from Detroit Michigan to Maine? How else can you get there?

You cannot get to Maine from Detroit on a train; that is, at least without making an unreasonable number of transfers and bus connections.  Flights to Portland will connect in New York or Boston and cost about the same as what you'd pay in gas to drive.  Flight time 3 hours +/-, drive time is one full day.  If you are going to Portland a flight may be the easiest way.  If you are going to any rural area away from Portland, I'd just drive it.
