Transport to Leicester from Heathrow?

Wishing to surprise my sister....can anyone tell me the best route to get to leicester, i wish to spend 2 nights in London first before travelling there.....any suggestions to which accomodation in London?

Hey, if you want a nice clean and cheap (for london) hotel, try this website www.imperialhotels.co.uk , the Royal National is the nicest but the others are ok!!. I would get a 3-day underground pass for zones 1-2 in london too. this will save you  money.  As for getting to Leicester, you can travel by train, this would be fastest, best website for this would be www.nationalrail.co.uk, or to travel by coach which is cheaper, but takes a LOT longer, go to www.nationalexpress.com , hope this helps :)
