No. A strip card - as you call it - is made for the transportation in the munich subway system (subways, buses, tramway . . )

To get to Rosenheim, you have to take a normal train (Railway system).

That means that you have to buy a railway ticket. Check out the homepage: www.bahn.de

You can check the connections and even buy the ticket online.

Yep!  Go to http://www.bahn.de -- select your connection and then you'll see the schedules and prices on that website.

But, enter München in German in the search bar of bahn.de - do not write Munich, because Munich is the English term for München.
