Transportation shelter for actors?

ok i think i read somewhere that if you are a extra on a show they dont pay for your transportation or shelter.........but lets say you try out for a role (not extra) do they pay for your trans. and shelter or do u still have to pay for that........also lets say they just want a headshot and u mail it and they want you to come audition do they pay for the trans or you

Depends on the production, some producers are tightwads, some are generous.

If you have an agent, they should have already asked, if not then ask the contact (stage manager or casting assistant) when you make the appointment.

Nobody pays for anybody to come and audition for anything.
