Lacina Traore has showered praise on the Nigerian International and has hoped Willian will score decisive goals at Anzhi Makhachkala after leaving Shakhtar Donetsk
Anzhi Makhachkala striker, Lacina Traore, has lavished praise on Nigerian International and Rubin Kazan hot-shot, Emmanuel Emenike, admitting that the 25-year-old attacker impressed him on a wide scale.
Though Emenike stayed on the bench during Nigeria’s 1-0 win in the final against Burkina Faso, the former S.K Fenerbahce player proved him as the star of the tournament after retaining the highest goal-scorer position along with
Ghana’s Wakaso Mubarak.
Emenike, who did not start the match after sustaining an injury during a routine workout, made the crowd go crazy in the tournament after scoring memorable goals against Zambia, Cote d’Ivoire and Mali in the cup competition.
The Super Eagles went ahead and cruised past the favourites of the tournament, Ivory Coast, after Emenike scored the opening goal of the match.
If speculations are to be believed, some of the top European clubs sent their scouts to see the blistering form of the Nigerian. Reports in English media suggests that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 FC are expected to make a formal bid for the player
in the summer as Brendon Rodgers wants to replace out-on-loan striker, Andy Carroll.
The former Cape Town forward, meanwhile, has scored five goals in the Russian Premier League this season.
“I returned to the club in a lousy mood and I will try to forget about the African Cup of Nations. I have no answer what happened to us despite the fact that we were the favourites. We all went to the tournament with very different
goals and returned with nothing. And now I want to concentrate on the final part of the Russian championship.”
“I was particularly impressed by Emenike. He showed his class and proved his selection.” The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/CFR-Cluj-c38778 man was quoted as saying.
Speaking on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Willian-c36898, Traore went on to reveal that the entire team along with the head coach is happy to have signed such a talented player. Anzhi signed the Brazilian winger from Shakhtar Donetsk for a reported 35 million Euro
