Roy Keane, the former Manchester United captain has been very critical of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Republic-of-Ireland-c2987 performances in this edition of the European Championships. He went on to state that the team failed to do justice to their fans,
and stated the Irish need to play with more heart. Keane further went on to state that the Irish team during his team played better football.
Trapattoni went on to retort that he was disappointed in the views put forth by the former Sunderland manager, he stated that he respected the Irishman, but was bemused by his comments, and added:

Ireland have had a rude awakening in the tournament, after arriving into the tournament on an unbeaten run. Their first match in the group stages was against Slaven Bilic’s Croatia, a match in which they managed to breach the opposition
defence once, whereas Croats scored on three occasions through Mandzukic and Jelavic. Many stated that the 3-1 score line was an understatement of the dominance http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879 had against the Irish.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 gave the Irish another pounding, with an emphatic 4-0 victory. Trapattoni reflected on their match against Italy and stated that they would be looking for a victory against them, to give the Irish fans something to cheer
about. He further stated:
“We will play for our honour and nation, who supported us throughout the tournament. We don’t want to go home with another defeat.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 will be fielding a strong side and would not be holding anything back against the Boys in Green as this is a must win match for them. Italy and Croatia are battling it out for qualification into the next round, with Spain’s
qualification confirmed.
A 2-2 result between Croatia and Spain would lead to Italy’s elimination regardless of a victory by the Azzurri.
