Trap-draws for the semifinals of the £4000 Gymcrack at Kinsley announced, Sevenup Bradders favourite
The £4000 Gymcrack at Kinsley begun on Sunday, 3rd July, 2011, and the initial rounds saw six heats with six runners each.
Overall eighteen runners in all qualified for the semifinal this Sunday, the 10th of July. The trap-draws for the semi-finals have now been announced and there will be three semifinal heats with six runners each.
The first semifinal will see a field comprising of Harrys Blonde from Trap 1, Drumcrow Dav from Trap 2, Offshore Rebel from Trap 3, Stay Sweet from Trap 4, Drumcrow Olly from Trap 5 and finally Sevenup Bradders from Trap 6.
This semifinal is bound to be interesting as 9/2 favourite for this semi-final, Sevenup Bradders put up an immaculate performance last week when he broke Taranis Rex’s record just minutes after it had been set, securing himself a place in the semifinal and
the title of the fastest runner of the day.
9/2 Harrys Blonde shares Sevenup Bradders’ position as favourite for this race.
The second semifinal will feature Dunion Wells from Trap 1, Calling Duke from Trap 2, Sundance Jet from Trap 3, Taranis Rex from Trap 4 and Bowtime Joey and Witton Bound from Trap 5 and 6, respectively.
All three, Taranis Rex, Sundance Jet and Calling Duke, won heats in competitive times last Sunday and are likely to bring about an exciting race this time as well.
The last semifinal will showcase the talents of Mutton Geoff from Trap 1, Droopys Bliss from Trap 2, Amys Prince from Trap 3, Witton Tom from Trap 4, Blue Max from Trap 5 and finally Vacant from Trap 6.
Coincidentally none of the runners from this semifinal won a heat last Sunday but just making it to the semifinal is proof of the fact that they can perform well.
The final of the Gymcrack at Kinsley will take place on Tuesday, 19th of July, and while it is uncertain right now who will run in the final, the semifinals will make thing clearer as the first two runners to cross the finish line from each 462
meter heat will qualify for the final and get a chance to win the £4000 prize.
