  1. I am very happy Isinbayeva won the pole vault. It always cracks me up that in America, if the USA trash talks it's referred to as confidence. If the Men's French Swim Team trash talk Phelps, OMG those dirty Frenchies.

Stuczynski called her out and blew it. On top of that Isinbayeva is d**n Hottie and set a new world record at 16'-6 and half inches. Stuczynski is not even close yet to reaching those heights.

  2. Jenn Stuczynski is a moron, and people that make a huge deal out of it are bigger morons.

  3. To be honest I dont think it was that bad.. She said “I hope we do some damage,”  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚€Âœand, you know, kick some Russian butt.”... Who cares!!! She says she hopes she win! She hopes she kicks her butt.. she wasnt like Im going to smash her, im way better, blah blah.. every atlethe hopes they do some damage... and her biggest comp was russia, so of course she was going to say it about them.

  4. She's cool! Very few people dares to make him/herself a moron in front of others. She is the one!

  5. Haha !  americans thinking thier the best thing ever once again, shows that cocky arrogant americans will always come second, that was a very poor sportsmanship thing for her to say so im glad she got second, which is still a very good accomplishment. And trying to use the "she has more experience " card isnt going to cut it. but atleast now she knows "her place"

  6. People like that give America a bad name internationally (I'm English).

Isinbayeva is a great champion and a good lady.

  7. Bad sportsmanship. At least she got a medal

  8. lol comes to mind.

also lol for the innuendo in that article. "big poles and big mouths" O_o XD

  9. Confidence - Great.

Showing that confidence as part of your strategy - Great.

Saying that you're going to kick some (anonymous) butt - Sure, why not?

Making an ethnocentric comment regarding a country that your own has been at war with or at the very least had a tense relationship with for the last 60 years - poor sportsmanship and a black eye for the US' showing of Olympic spirit.

She threw gasoline on the fire for the competition... not smart.

  10. She made a mistake and she fired up the best female pole vaulter in history. But at least she got the silver.

  11. ummmmmmm....

I guess because it is the olympics comments like that are a little "inappropriate" but i mean...

That wasn't really trash talk... it was just high spirit talk....depending on the tone..

i wanna watch the video of them trash talking..

or was this at a previous event?

  12. I'm glad the Russian won, however I think that what the Amercian said is all part of the competitive nature of sport. People do it all the time no matter which country they come from. There is a psychological component to any sport, and athletes make comments to try an unsettle their competitors.

  13. I guess Stuczynski doesn't realize that bad mouthing only fuels a athlete even more. And I honestly don't think a women who has been vaulting for 4 years should say anything about beating the most dominate female vaulter ever. There was no way she was ever going to beat Isinbayeva and she should've never said anything. There seems to be lack of respect going around in these Olympic Games.
