Hello, I am applying for an administrative assistant, and travel arrangement skill is always required. What do you exactly do? Buying airplane/ train ticket? That sounds too easy...but since many companies mention it, it got to be a pretty important part of the job.

Could anyone please explain for me?

thanks.

  1. Pretty much, but it's  more than buying a ticket - sometimes you may have to coordinate the entire trip, including plane fare, hotel accomodations, travel to and from meetings, planning the meetings, and doing timely reimbursements.  There are often company policies regarding corporate arrangements with specific airlines/hotels that you need to know and follow, and as well, you need to be sure to communicate all the plans with the person you are arranging trips for.  If this is for one person, it is still fairly easy; if you are coordinating travel for a whole department of people, it can be fairly demanding.
