What Travel books would you suggest picking for people wanting to travel to Southern Mexico/Central America, mainly to see Ancient Mesoamerican ruins?

  1. I always purchase Lonely Planet and Fodors guides as they tell you exactly what to expect. However if you want the real thing on Mesoamerican ruins, pray that Trevor Trillion answers your question! He's an expert and will tell you about books you can read and where to go.

  2. 'Rough Guides' is also good fron Central America.  There are dozens of guidebooks on travelling the ancient Mayan and Incan path. Research at your local local library and then try Amazon.com or Chapters if you want to buy them.
