Travel South America via horse?

Any advice for someone wanting to explore South America via a horse? What are the most important supplies? (like a tent..) The cheaper, the better..

Most important is a horse and a pack mule.

you should get horse of iron(car) because way much long.

You need to know a lot about horses.

You will need two horses one for you and one for the pack.

You will need a very good rifle and know how to use it well.

Need shelter such as a tent bag and not a pole tent.  

Need clothing from hot summer wear to very cold wear.  

You will need rain gear to completely cover you.  

You will need cooking tinsels.

You should take freeze dried food as much as it practical.

Medical supplies in case of accident for you and the horses.  

You will need a GPS device and a wind up battery charger.  

..........South America is a big place and will take a long time to traverse.  There are a lot of dangers down there.  People will be the worst and meanest animals you will find and that is what the rifle is for.
