I am visiting Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia in December. I am booking 2 tour packages with Jethmal (Jet choice) Travel. I have been asked to complete a credit card form and to scan in a copy of credit card. Is this normal procedure? Is Jethmal a reputable travel agency in Singapore? I am just a bit catious about booking on-line. Thanks for any help or advice!

  1. For any kind of travel information, check http://www.cheap-airline-airfare.com, use it's search engine to find anything related to travel

  2. I have not heard of them but from the net they seem to be a Singapore Airline appointed agent.

But scanning a credit card is really unusual.

  3. Not that I have heard off.  Regarding Credit Card, scan copy with form and given too much details is odd.  Maybe up to something, be careful as there is a run away case now, in S'pore.

Check and check to safeguard yourself and a new place.

  4. Hi, i was a travel agent. some very long time ago..and yes jethmal travel is a reputable company. the small company that i worked with usually get our tickets issued from them. not too sure if they're still at the same office. it was at peninsula plaza..level 2 if i'm not wrong.

scanning of credit card is usually done as a guarantee that you are travelling. same goes when u check in to hotels, they will get a copy of it, just in case there are incidental charges tat you need to pay. Just do a check with jethmal travel, and inform them to check with you before proceeding with any payments.
