Travel alone:december trip in brisbane and goldcoast?

i'm a single asian lady. i'm planning for my dec trip to brisbane and goldcoast this xmas. any idea like how many days i can spent there? coz i heard brisbane has nothing much to exlore..

besides, i need cheap and CLEAN and SAFE hostel to stay..

please help to give me some ideas.

Depending on what you like to do, will give different answers to your question about how many days.  

We took some Japanese and Korean homestay students to South Bank in Brisbane, and they enjoyed that for almost a day, and that was without really looking into the City of Brisbane itself.

It is difficult for a local to really know what a visitor will want to see.  Everything here is normal and everyday to us :)

You can spend upwards from $10 to $100 for a decent meal, depending where you go.

Depends on how much you want to see.  Minimum 3 full days.  Add at least that much again for Lamington.

Try joining YHA as they have a lot of hostels...  Also try The Palace and TinBilly's.

Minimum per meal $5 to 10 on el cheapo (Subway, fast food or food centre food, small cafe food) upto $30 - 40 for the pricey end
