  1. The best thing to do is use a travel agent. They'll be able to arrange the best honeymoon for your budget and often, if the agency has preferred status with their vendors, will be able to facilitate upgrades and extras at no additional cost. Casto Travel will help you plan your honeymoon and even has a free gift registry program where guests can contribute to your travel registry. Congratulations and good luck!

  2. RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH!

Don't go to the Dominican, ever. I think the Caribbean is out for summer though.

The Maritimes in Canada or perhaps North or South Carolina would be really really nice! So would Vancouver. Ontario would be awful with all the humidity, unless you're in Cottage Country.

Europe would be insanely busy. But, a trip to one of the Greek islands or anywhere in Europe would be incredible!

Gosh. There are so many great places to go. It's hard to say without knowing your budget.

  3. Um. Where are you going? If you plan on going anywhere that uses the British pound or the euro, start saving. The exchange rate is TERRIBLE, and you should expect to spend a ton of money. As for general traveling tips, when you finalize your travel dates and location, call your credit card companies and your bank (if you have an ATM card) to tell them what dates you are going to be gone and WHERE you are going. Before I left for my trip to Scotland last November, I called my credit card companies but forgot to call my bank. When I ran out of money, I had to use an ATM. My bank locked me out of my card at my first try of my card because the bank didn't know I was out of the country and thought someone stole my ATM card and was trying to use it. It took me three days to contact my bank, cost me a ton of money because I had to charge everything to my credit card,  and was a huge inconvenience. So save yourself some trouble and call your bank before you leave!

Another thing to remember: Although credit cards are convenient when traveling abroad, keep in mind that whatever the exchange rate is at the time the charge is actually processed is what you will have to pay. The charges seems to take a few days to process, and you may calculate you only have to pay X amount because of the exchange rate that day. BUT since the charge doesn't get processed till much later, you need to check what the exchange rate is on that day to confirm how much you owe. The differences aren't horrendous, but it will surprise you.

Lastly, keep in mind to exchange some money before you leave, avoid cabs if you can, souvenirs aren't THAT important, and if you see something in a store that you want to buy but you think, "Oh, I'll buy it later," buy it that minute; you'll never remember where the store is.

    Have fun!
