Head down to Portsmouth (get on AA routefinder for road route), Get the ferry from Portsmouth to Ryde (there's also a hovercraft so whichever you prefer) From Ryde you should be able to get to where ever you need to. (Sandown and Shanklin are not to far from there)

id go M25 M3 onto the M27 .. then head to Portsmouth (m275)

down to the docks .. signposted 'the hard' fastcat service (for foot passengers) for journeys with the car follow the signs to the car ferry, which is a bit further on from the fastcat terminal.
