  1. If you're staying for less than 21 days, Australians don't need a visa for the Phillipines, so if you're travelling on an Australian passport, it won't be an issue.

  2. As the others said, you will be granted a 21 day visa waiver on arrival, so long as you have 6 months validity in your passport and an onward ticket to a destination outside the Philippines.

If you want to apply for a visa, the form asks about your criminal history. That doesn't mean you will be declined because you have a criminal history. It depends on the type of crime.

Mainly, the Philippines government is seeking to deter people whose crime involved moral terpitude. They are aslo seeking to deny insane people.

I have been convicted of drink driving twice. These offences are mentioned on each visa application and has not caused any problem.

  3. You have paid your debt to society and Australians are not required to obtain a visa prior to your stay so you will be fine, have a great trip.

  4. I think when filling up a visa application, you'll be asked about that, so it's your decision to answer truthfully or not.  Either way, it's the  visa issuing department at the Philippine Consulate in Austalia, that will make the decision if they will give you a visa to enter the Philippines or not.  Good luck!
