  1. Read "English Passengers" or "The Potato Factory" if you're interested in voyages between England and Tasmania in the 1800, fictional books but really brilliant reads :) Both bestsellers


  2. That depends on which end of the 1800s.  A couple of things happened, such as the opening of the Suez Canal and the development of steamships.

  3. Depending on the conditions (ie the prevailing winds, etc.), it took between four and six months to complete the journey.
