Travel from Glasgow Airport to Edinburgh Airport

Does anyone know of a direct bus that goes from Glasgow airport to edinburgh airport? I think there used to be one but can only find one that goes from Buchanan street bus station to Edinburgh and then need to get another bus to the airport.

  1. No, there is not. Not much need for it as just about all flights to/from Scotland are into Glasgow. Edinburgh only has domestic flights with a tiny number of international ones.

    Also, Glasgow has two airports so you should check what one you are flying to/from.

    Glasgow International (GLA)

    Glasgow Prestwick (PIK)


  2. You are correct in that two journeys per hour on Scottish Citylink service 900 continued to Gourock via Glasgow Airport (as service 901).

    But the Glasgow motorway network is plagued with delays which had an adverse affect on coach reliability. Trying to sort out delays on so long a route caused major problems, especially in respect of the length of time that a driver could drive legally. The simple answer was to divorce the two services, which is now the position.

    The two services come into adjacent stances at Buchanan Bus Station, so there is no great hassle in changing vehicles. Each service operates a 10/15 minute service throughout the day.
