Travel from Los cristianos to Puerto de la cruz?

I'm going to be staying in Los Cristianos at the end of february and would like to go up to Puerto de la Cruz for a daytrip to visit the lido (went there as a kid and want to see if it is as good as I remember!). Any suggestions on the best way to travel for three people?

I'd prefer not to hire a car - public transport or taxi maybe. As long as costs are reasonable I'd go for speed and comfort over cost!

There is an express bus that goes there. I cannot remember the number ( it might be the 110 or 111) but you can get is at the bus stops on the road that the hotel princess dacil is on. This is the main bus stop in los christianos.  It takes about 1hr to get there.  You can also go to loro parque which is a brilliant zoo which has penguins in an enclosed area with  real snow falling.
