Travel help please!!?

Question

During the summer before we go off to college, me and 2 of my friends plan on going to Europe. I want to go to spain my other friends want to go to italy and paris, any idea of a way we can go to europe for 1-4 weeks without wiping our budget out.

I'd like to mount a campaign to encourage people not to go anywhere. Travel has become so expensive and unpleasant that it's hard to understand why people don't stay home.

Why are we crowding our highways and airports to get someplace else? Newspapers and magazines are filled with ads trying to get us to travel. They want us to go somewhere - anywhere but home.

I've done a budget trip in Spain but found it more difficult in Italy. France is quite expensive nowadays, so Spain would be my option, but stay away from the tourist beach resorts

sorry sweetie, but i have to agree with some of the other answers-the dollar is so weak that a trip overseas is going to require you to have a money printing machine in your basement.

i would suggest putting the money you have into a 1 year CD (so you can't spend it), and hope for a better economy next summer. Also, look into trvel opportunities at your college-there will be lots, including study abroad programs.

don't give up on the dream though-it's a great idea, but you don't want to go and run out of money in a week! those places are expensive to begin with, and with the low dollar, the cost of everything is exorbitant.

i woud travel in this country now and do to europe mext summer when hopefully oil prices and the dollar are stable cause bush is gone
