  1. Call his family and ask them to drop by.

  2. If he has a passport and can get into the U.S., see if you can fly/drive to somewhere near the Canadian border and then he can come over to see you. Or, you could just get a passport! And use webcams until your application goes through and you get your passport.

  3. the only way to enter is to get a passport, or drive him across and hid him in a bag (thats a joke, dont do that), it is a good idea to have a passport anyway

  4. get a passport and go see him

  5. Actually in the US Passports are taking about 3 weeks not months to get done these days.  If you are going by LAND or SEA you don't need a passport just a valid Government Issued Picture ID and a Birth Certificate or Citizenship papers.  Only if you are going by AIR  do you need a passport to enter Canada, US, Mexico, Bermuda and 18 countries in the Caribbean.

  6. grow up and have a thought...if he really is your boyfriend, why don't you have a passport ???

  7. Wait ... you're an American with a Canadian boyfriend who doesn't know how to get into Canada??

A passport is best but for now you can cross the US/Canada border (and the US/Mexico border, too) with your valid US drivers license along with your US-issued birth certificate. I hadn't realized that my passport was expired so this is what I've done for my last 3 visits to BC.

Here's the text taken directly from the State Department's web site:

    AIR TRAVEL

ALL PERSONS traveling by air outside of the United States are required to present a passport or other valid travel document to enter or re-enter the United States.

    LAND AND SEA TRAVEL

The following summarizes information available on the Department of Homeland Security’s website.

    CURRENTLY:

U.S. citizens need to present either (a) a passport, passport card (available in spring 2008), or WHTI-compliant document; or (b) a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, along with proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate.

    LATER:

On June 1, 2009, the U.S. government will implement the full requirements of the land and sea phase of WHTI.  The proposed rules require most U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry to have a passport, passport card, or WHTI-compliant document.

  8. i think u can travel to canada easily.. just take tour visa, go and meet him.
