Travel help to mexico?

hi. i wanted to know a few things about travel to Playa del Carmen, mexico...

1> what activities / day trips are recommended ???

2> is it cheaper to book activities before leaving the US through websites or more $$ booking it through the resort ???

I prefer booking in the US through reputable sites that allow you to cancel and get a refund.  Prices will be about the same if you book here versus there.

Some sites I used are:

Both allow you to cancel up to 24 hours before you trip which is helpful in case the weather acts up.

Also, I'd suggest Joe's Jeep Adventure Tour and a trip to Tulum and check out a chenote.

Go to tickets and attractions link on this site. http://redhotescapes.com/  That way you can book before you go We liked Tulum mayan ruins and the xelha tour from this site and it was only 139 for the 2 tours.  We did not like the snorkeling in isla mujerers out of Cancun.  The boat ride was fun but thats all that was good.  The Blue parrot in Playa has fire dancers at night that are really good.  Just watch from the beach and its free instead of paying to get in.  Although there club is fun too.

The only help worthwhile is to recommend that you rethink your destination from Mexico to Vancover, BC, Las Vegas or even Dollywood would be much better than spend money in Mexico!
