  1. I am a travel agent and you can get your mother insurance....Get a free quote by going to

    http://www.csatravelprotection.com

This is who I use and they are great...This is good for USA and Canada..not sure about Britain if that is where you are from..BUT every tour operator has travel insurance...They usually have a cancellation or change for any reason insurance or cancel for medical reasons only and it is much cheaper then the link I gave you.....Tour companies insurance is like $99 or less..but only covers cancellation or change prior to departure.... but CSA offers full coverage so if anything were to happen to her while away you will get coverage for everything...They were featured on the Today show when a woman fell and broke her leg in some small middle eastern country they flew her back in a private jet and got her to an american hospital so she co8uld have surgery and all she paid was $300 for the insurance...They are quite good and reputable company...

  2. Usually any travel agency will offer travel insurance at a pretty reasonable rate.

I had to use my insurance while in mexico, it came in very handy.

I'm glad to see you're thinking ahead!

  3. Amex do a great insurance deal for senior citizens. It will also depend on where she is travelling. The post office also do a good policy.

  4. SAGA or Age Concern would be the best choices as many others may well load the premuims if they agree cover, if travelling for a short break, always worth getting the new E111 which now the EHIC card and this can be done over the web

  5. Hi, I would recommend getting a quote from Insure For All - competitively priced senior travel insurance specialist!

I just checked the price for and 81 year old travelling to Europe - 1 week: £27.49, 2 weeks: £37.01.

    Hope this is helpful!

  6. HI Charley - I believe Saga Travel do insurance for over 65s, not sure if there's an upper age limit.  If still no joy, contact Age Concern - they actually have more info on age-related matters than you'd expect, and will be able to point you in the right direction.

  7. tescos do an excellent one and really cheap or saga (not so cheap but specialize in that age group) OR age concern do a really good one too BUT tescos is cheapest!

  8. Worldwide Insure http://www.worldwideinsure.com/ may be of help. I know they have a high age limit but I can't remember what it is.
