  1. If you are an Irish person traveling to a country where they don't have national health I would suggest that you book it.  One trip to the ER for a simple sprain or a migraine in the US or Canada could cost you a couple of thousand dollars. (don't even think about something more complicated) You don't need that surprise expense added to your trip.  

    Trip cancellation insurance- personal choice.  How many times have you had to change plans because of you or your families  health or emergencies?  If it has happened more than once then I'd do it, then like every day magic you will not need it and your trip will go like clock work.


  2. It's difficult enough getting it for 0ver 70's in England - I know cos I was looking for travel insurance for my mum-in-law.  

    Got it from Egg.com in the end - might be relevant for Ireland too!
