Travel time between Athens Airport and Pireaus Port?

My plane from Vienna arrives at Athens 3:00pm and my fast boat for Santornini leaves Pireaus Port at 5:00pm. Can I make it? What is the fastest way to get there?

I think you can make it. You can either go by taxi or take the metro from the airport (line 3), get off at the Monastiraki station, change there (you'll take line 1 to Piraeus) and then just get off at the last station. By metro it'll take you about an hour and a half (because metro journeys from the airport are scheduled every 30 minutes, so you may have to wait). By taxi probably faster, but that also depends on the traffic. However, if you tell the driver that you're in a hurry, he'll try to get you there fast. (Taxi is more expensive of course).

Hey !!! it's very difficult to make it! You need some time to get your stuff from the plane and still... I think the only way to make it is by taking a taxi but this will cost you...

Also consider that you'll need 10' from the metro in Piraeus to your ferry (at least)!! the ferries from santorini are close and it's on your left as you exit the station.

Taxi and make sure you tell the taxi driver all the details about the connection.It's right on traffic and he would have to take short cuts to be able to make it It's 45 min. under normal conditions,but the thing is that around the port the traffic is terrible. you can take the metro then the green line to pireaus that is if you don't have too much luggage w/you.  look up the metro map online to familiarize yourself.

Your time margins are very tight.

Taking into consideration that you will not have any delay in the flight then still you are running against the clock.

Take into account that you have to wait for luggage and walk out of the airport that will take at least  a quarter of an hour.

The best and most sure way is to take a cab and make sure you tell the driver of your time limits. He should choose to take the Attiki Odo instead of the seaside "paraliaki" way. Although is less in distance most likely at that time to be congested with traffic. The other longer but more accessible.

Make sure to ask what roughly it will cost you before entering so that you will not find yourself in a surprise if you are lucky enough to fall on a bad taxi driver. Most are good professionals but you get the occasional ones that are rotten and they will take advantage of your timing .

This is difficult. For an international  flight you must check in  2 hrs ahead, and to get from Pireaus to the airport, takles a lot of time. '

And if your fast boat is going to Santorini, how will you get to Pireaus? Is Pireaus a stop on the way? Or do you mean FROM Santorini?

The best thing to do is get a plane, so that you will be at the airport.
