Hi,

I came from the Phillippines as a refugee. I only have my permanent resident card, I-94, and a ID/driver license; I don't have any passport. I want to travel to Canada for about 2 weeks, do I need a visa or re-entry permit? Thanks

  1. It' ok. Even without a passport (your passport from phillipine) they'll let you enter. The only thing you need to think of is the purpose of your travel cuz you'll be asked by the US custom officer on your way back. I do it all the time I cross the border in the Northeast (New York-Quebec). You don't need a visa nor a re-entry permit.
