I want to go to Kuwait at the end of next month. I'm applying for a passport this week. Will I be able to get a Visa at the airport? I read somewhere that the passport has to be 3 months old to get the visa, is this true?

  1. yes you just cant get the passport in the airport

  2. Why don't you say what country you come from and what is the purpose of your visi?t. The rules are not the same for all countries.

Citizens  of the following countries can go to Kuwait without visa in advance. They will be given one at the airport on arrival in Kuwait.

United Kingdom, United States of America, Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Vatican.

All other countries need a visa in advance, and should contact the consular section of the nearest Kuwaiti Embassy. In london it will take 10 days after filing your application. The visa will take 10 days after application before you can collect. It will be valid for 3 months,so you must have at least 3 months left on your passport BEFORE IT EXPIRES!

It is not true your passpport has to be 3 months old.You must have misread it. You can get your visa if you passport got issued the day you applied for a visa.

The following link is to the Kuwaiti Information Centre in London, where you can read all about the various types of visas.
