How do you get a seventeen year old and two eighteen year olds, all with bikes, from Dover to Calais (and back, of course) for a two/three week stay in France for the cheapest price possible?

  1. Ferry.

  2. Eurostar resonable and fast

  3. i think the ferry is the best way, you can take it to roscoff its good too

  4. Ferry - check prices & conditions via the internet.

But that's the easy part so if they aren't able to work that out for themselves will they be able to cope for two or three weeks?

Wasn't thinking about whether you could cope with biking and camping - more the language or if anything went wrong. Also the north of France isn't the "nicest" area (lived there myself) and the towns can be quite rough, so you'd need to research where you are going to avoid bad areas. It's not hard - but neither is finding a crossing - you just type "cheap crossing to France" in Google.

  5. Take the P&O Ferry but choose a night time crossing. Phone up P&O and they will tell you the cheapest crossings. Best of luck they will love France but tell them to be careful.
