Travel trailer that needs papers?

I've just aquired a 30ft. travel trailer with no papers. Can anyone help me find the make and year, so I can get tags? I think it might be a Dutchmen because some of the interior trim work is exactly the same as some I've seen on the net. I Don't know where to look and any help would be appriciated.

  1. check the vin number located on your dash. find it by looking through the windshield from the outside. Take the number to the local dealer and they can help you out. If the vin number not there. ask the dealer for its location. some times they have another tag on the frame.

  2. Disregard the previous answer, this is a trailer not a motor home.   There is no dash or windshield.  The vin number on trailers is usually on a small metal plate located on the frame near the tongue.

  3. If you can't find any info on the trailer, you may be able to get a replacement VIN.  I needed to do that for a boat trailer; I know it's not the same scale, but in NH the process is the same.  There is a form to fill out, and a police officer will come to the vehicle and affirm that there is no VIN on the form.  Then the DMV will issue a new one.

If you have some pictures, it will be easier to identify...
