Travel websites?

i am looking for travel websites where you can book packages going to one destination from different starting points. for example, my friends and i are scattered all over the US, but we want to take a vacation together (4 different cities to be exact). i want to be able to put in.. how many hotel rooms and how many plane tickets from the different airports. is this even possible or do i need to go to a travel agent?

Some of the common travel sites have agents that can put it together for you over the phone, but I don't think you can build that via their websites.  

I recommend each person finding the best flight and book the hotel seperately.  Anyone interested can help locate deals or provide discount codes.  

Of course you can always go see a Travel Agent, but I think it would be cheaper to just do it yourself on expedia.com or kayak.com (or even direct from the airline sites - aa.com has good deals).

In my experience, I just book everything seperately... Everyone's flight should arrive around the same times.

a) book individual air travel- thru airline/travel site

b) book hotel all at one time (2 rooms, whatever it is)

c) book car/transportation at one time

If you wanted to do it all as one simple package, a travel agent would be your easiest bet.  Otherwise, you could just go to a place like Hotwire.com and book ticket by ticket and room by room.  Little more work but you will save way more.  

If it were me, I would do the second.  Have fun on your vacation!
