  1. Granada is a must

  2. You should go to Madrid.  Start there.  Definitely see the Prado.  Other museums, other art, no matter what else you do, that's the one, must see.

Toledo, for all that is El Greco and the mix of religions and cultures there.

Segovia: must tour the Alcázar, and stop at the first century roman aqueduct.  (you can't miss it, you have to pass under it to enter the city.  It's pretty spectacular!)

Sevilla:  Absolutely a must!  You could spend a couple of days, at least tour the Cathedral and climb the Giralda, then tour the Alcázar...all else is gravy.  You could spend a week, a month, a year or a lifetime there.  At the minimum those two things.

Córdoba: a daytrip from Seville is sufficient...the most important thing there is the Mezquita/Cathedral.

Granada: Alhambra.  Two days is comfortable.

Barcelona:  So much to do and see here!  Must sees are the Ramblas and Sagrada Familia.  With enough time for more, see the Eixample, and tour one of the Gaudí houses.  Parc Güell is spectacular!  And Montjuic was great, too.  Picasso museum is supposed to be spectacular, too.  That's heresay...I missed it last trip, and when I did go, I was kind of underwhelmed.  I have heard there has been much added since then, though.

And bring your appetite!  The food is terrific!

    Paella almost anywhere!

Chocolate Ice Cream Truffles:  Best places I know of are La Campana in Seville, on the North end of Calle Sierpes, and La Mallorqueña in Puerta del Sol, Madrid (across from the

    Tío Pepe sign).

Chocolate Museum in Barcelona was good, too.

And definitely partake of the incredible hams and cured sausages!  and the seafood!  Yum!  I'm getting hungry!

Oh.  Good walking shoes are another good thing to pack.

  4. Hi Pan,

There is so much in Spain to see - you'll never do it all in one trip! Obviously there is Barcelona (watch out as it is quite expensive plus do watch your handbag!), Seville, Santiago de Compostela.

I'd recommend if you can to get over to the Balearic Islands too - Palma is beautiful on Majorca - great beach etc and Menorca is lovely. Ibiza has a great vibe and great party life!

Go to www.virtualtourist.com and take a look at some Spanish cities.

    You'll have a fab time!

  5. Barcelona is amazing, but as someone else has said it is pretty expensive. also try Madrid, and also as someone else said earlier try and get to Palma, that is amazing and you are not to far away from the main nightlife and the busiest resort in majorca. If you do stay in barcelona for a few days and fancy going to the beach, pop to malgrat De Mar, it is a very British resort but I  have been there a few times and thought it was great. Also try marineland near Barcelona, The Dolphin show is amazing and they have also got a waterpark for you to use after you have seen the dolphin show.
