Traveling Alone.?

Well I'm a thirteen year old and my parents and I are considering me to go to Australia by myself. If I go to Australia then most likely I'll use Qantas Airlines or United Airlines. So if I go, will it be required for me to be a unaccompanied minor? Some websites said yes and some said no, so I'm really confused. Please help?

  1. Even if it's not required you should still be an unacompanied minor. That way airline personel will know that you're underage and alone so that they can keep a closer eye on you. Also, if you've got family or friends picking you up at the airport in australia tell your parents to look into a chaperone service. You usually have to pay extra for it but it will make you and your parents feel a little more secure about the trip. I have a chaperone service for my flight to Mexico this summer (I'm 13) and even though my mom had to pay extra the fact that I have one is helping my mom keep her head straight.

  2. Call the airlines  and ask them...

  3. yeah call the air-line and ask.

they may just assign a hostess/host to keep an eye on you ...

I hope you have family to meet you at the airport.
