Traveling As a Minor?

I'm 14 years old and I just wanted to know what should I do as far as flying as a minor?

also; I will be traveling to Texas this summer from the 25 of June to the 5th of August. When's the best time to buy plane tickets?

I always check the prices but they always change. Either their more expensive or less.

Last Question is I will be traveling with a friend. We'd like to get the same plane and seats next to each other but we are going to purchase tickets separately. What should we do to make sure we do get the same plane and seats next to each other.

  1. u need parents permission nd u gotta pay $100 for an attendant....buy them as soon as possible because they get higher everyday....for the seats just make a deal with the person ur sitting next to to change seats with u nd datz it

  2. you should try to book your tickets now, with 31 days b4 your flight you should find some good fares, don't wait until 21 days or less, they will be more.  one reason for the flux in the ticket prices is that airlines set aside a certain number of seats at certain prices and when those seats are gone, they move on to the next fare level and so on.

check different airline sites for any special sales that only they have, i.e. purchase online only. and if you want to consider a non-stop flight, you can get cheaper fares as well, although most peeps don't like connecting flights.

as far as seating next to your friend, the earlier you book your tickets the more chance you have at being seated together.  just call the airline and ask for assigned seats, by just making one phone call and have both tickets in hand when you call.

as for an airline letting minors travel, without a paid 'babysitter service', i donno bout that one.

  3. I am not really sure but I know that when I went to FL with my mom and siblings she was going to drive back and we were going to fly, it was an extra 100 dollars per person to fly as a minor.
