Traveling by train?

How long does it take traveling by train from los angeles to Washington DC. How many hours? how much would it cost?thank you

If you plan in advance you can get a ticket from LA to DC for $184 but it takes a while.  A train leaving LA at at 6 PM on 30 SEP gets into DC at 120 PM on 3 OCT.

Definitely get a sleeper car.

Roughly 3 days, about $300 - $400.  Some tickets even go up to $600+.  Some options have train and bus combinations.

If you are spending that much, consider flying or even taking a bus.
